BAKING, POULTRY FARMING, SEWING, KNITTING AND CRAFTS
Sinethemba Community Organisation generates it's income through intercultural tourism projects, crafts sales, pottery making project, detergent soap making, community baking services, gardening services, sewing projects as well as poultry farming.
The BAKING project is a skill offered to gender based violence victims and survivors by the Sinethemba Community Organisation to assist them in rebuilding their self confidence, sustainability and independence.
On the SEWING project we empower these women with skills that will also help in selling their gourmets within the community, we also specialise in matric dance dresses and suits. We make school uniforms and tracksuits, personal orders are also taken to assist the organisation financially.
The ARTS AND CRAFTS project is also part of our development and skills training programme to empower the youth of Harare Khayelitsha and create job opportunities.
The chickens from the POULTRY FARMING project lay eggs then those eggs are re-sold for the income of the Sinethemba Organisation and so forth with the baking team.
